Verisk Analytics to Host Annual Risk Symposium in London

JERSEY CITY, N.J., April 24, 2017 - Verisk Analytics (Nasdaq: VRSK ), a leading data analytics provider, will host its fifth Verisk Risk Symposium on June 22 at Clothworkers' Hall in London. The event will provide attendees with thought leadership on the latest issues in the London and global risk markets.

The symposium will feature a keynote address from James Dalton, director of General Insurance Policy at the Association of British Insurers (ABI).

"We're thrilled to have Mr. Dalton as our keynote speaker," said Chris Kent, director, Business Development, Verisk Analytics. "James leads the ABI's work on property, liability, health, and motor insurance issues, including flooding policy, civil justice reform, tackling insurance fraud, and issues associated with legacy claims. He was previously the ABI's assistant director, head of Motor and Liability. Before joining the ABI in 2007, James was a senior advisor at the New Zealand Ministry of Economic Development and acted as private secretary to the New Zealand Minister of Commerce."

The symposium will feature in-depth panel discussions on the latest London market topics, such as cyber risk modeling, casualty modeling, geomatics, remote sensing, and aerial imagery. The full-day event will also include general sessions exploring data-driven IoT opportunities and challenges and insights into global property underwriting.

"This year's symposium offers a perfect mix of topics for the day," said Christopher H. Perini, chief marketing officer, Verisk Analytics. "Along with in-depth panel discussions and general sessions, we're excited to provide expanded content with new sessions relevant to the U.K. domestic market, such as unlocking profitability with vehicle analytics, enabling concierge services with connected-car and -home data, and identifying trends in personal lines distribution. What's more, our Innovation Lab will showcase impressive new technologies and industry applications involving cutting-edge fields such as social media, image forensics, security and surveillance, aerial imagery, optical character recognition, and entity resolution."

Verisk Analytics Chief Operating Officer Mark Anquillare will commence the day's proceedings.

"This year's event will mark the fifth-consecutive year Verisk Analytics is hosting its London symposium, and we're delighted to continue to deliver an informative and educational event tailored to topics of interest and relevance to the London and European insurance markets," added Kent.
