President Trump said in a Friday morning tweet that he’s not getting enough credit from the national media for all his successes in his first 100 days.
Trump's former campaign manager, Corey Lewandowski, agrees with the president's assessment.
On "Fox & Friends Weekend" this morning, Lewandowski argued that Trump's has accomplished an extraordinary amount since he took office, including the confirmation of new Supreme Court Justice Neil Gorusch, an expansion of the Veterans Choice Act, his "Buy American, Hire American" executive order, his unlocking of the Keystone Pipeline and much more.
"He had the promises during the campaign, and he's holding those promises," Lewandowski said, adding that the mainstream media has not been fair to Trump in their coverage of his many accomplishments.
He explained that the media is focusing on three big-ticket items that Trump will get done, but hasn't yet: tax reform, the ObamaCare repeal and replace, and a trillion-dollar infrastructure bill.
"When you look at those three things, any of those would be considered a major accomplishment by any single administration," Lewandowski said. "He's going to get all of them done. [That] is the difference."
"He's the greatest deal-maker our country's ever seen, and I'm very confident all three of those are going to get done before the end of the first year."
Despite that, the media has been extremely critical of Trump, Lewandowski said, noting a recent study that found 89 percent of the coverage of the president has been negative.
