Like I said I had same problem flipping stocks Etrade sent me a warning (one more flipping and would be considered pdt) So I asked many questions and found out this only applies to margin account. This resulted in my switching to a cash only account. This didn't matter because I only trade Penny Stocks that can't be purchased on margin anyway... Hope this helps. The only drawback is you can't trade until Margin account is changed. Took about 2 business days..
