What people do with their stock as it appreciates is up to them but I would think as the stock rises they will find needs to be satisfied by selling shares so the amount of people that would hold to the end will dwindle. This country has a population of over 300 million and adding a few thousand new millionaires is an easy task. I would think that now is the time to build ones portfolio to prepare for the future.
