MONTREAL, April 19, 2017 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Technology Evaluation Centers (TEC) is pleased to announce the signing of a twenty-year partnership agreement with European-based TendersPage . TendersPage is the world’s largest supplier of public tenders, featuring 50,000 daily procurements from 1,700,000 purchasing entities, in over 145 languages.
The partnership between TEC’s RFP Alert Services division, operating out of Montreal, Canada, and TendersPage, headquartered in Strasbourg, France, will help Canadian companies find more opportunities to bid on government and private sector contracts on the other side of the Atlantic. Canadian firms will have easier access to tenders across the European Union (EU) and around the globe, while European firms can leverage an experienced Canadian tenders expert in order to streamline entry into the Canadian market.
RFP Alert Services and TendersPage have developed all the technology required to connect the two platforms, effectively creating the world’s most comprehensive point of access for public tenders.
The partnership comes in advance of the Canada-European Union Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement (CETA), expected to be ratified in 2017. CETA will foster and encourage bilateral Canadian-EU trade by almost completely eliminating tariffs between the two trading partners.
It also comes at a time when rising political and economic nationalism in the United States is causing some Canadian firms to re-evaluate their historical reliance on the American market. The newly combined RFP Alert Services and TendersPage platform represents a unique opportunity.
The EU is the world’s largest single common market, comprised of 28 member states with a combined population of over 540 million and a GDP of close to $20 trillion USD. With a population of 36 million, Canada’s economy is the tenth largest in the world, with an annual GDP of $1.53 trillion USD.
