This is tremendous news! I've been hoping DF would someday get Breaking Bad on UltraFlix by far my favorite TV series. Now it would appear we've got our foot in the door at AMC who own many more gems including Better Call Saul, Walking Dead, Into the Badlands and Madmen just to name few.
As for Breaking Bad, this one has tremendous remastering potential, Tremendous. The film in the first season was very grainy at times and I'm not sure if that was done for artistic purposes or what but I'd be happy to see that cleaned up by 4K Studios. The series itself is hands down the best ever made so if you haven't seen by all means set aside some time and watch it on UltraFlix, it's Awesome! This was a tremendous score for UltraFlix!
As UltraFlix is quickly building momentum building relationships with the movies studios and now tv networks, I'd personally like the mother lode of 4K content by getting the rights to The Discovery Channel. To be able to showcase Discovery Channel programming on UltraFlix would be a game changer indeed as they easily have the best content for 4K HDR viewing. And while in the not so distant past I would've thought partnering with Discovery Channel would be a long shot, I'm thinking that it has real possibilities now.
