NEWBURGH – .....For the first time, the airport will begin offering transatlantic flights, with service to Belfast, Northern Ireland, Dublin and Shannon in Ireland and Edinburgh, Scotland...(((ADDENDUM: This brings international flights back to the airport that was previously so in name only. Until Norwegian's arrival, flights are only available to Florida, Philadelphia and Detroit.)))

In addition to launching new international flights, Norwegian will open a base of operations at Stewart for its pilots and cabin crew, ... The estimated total economic impact is expected to be 230 jobs, $13 million in total wages and $36 million in overall economic activity.
Port Authority Executive Director Pat Foye said, “This new service is a great milestone for Stewart International Airport. Connectivity to new destinations is vital for our airport to realize further growth and remain competitive.”
