Their business model is to profit off their inventions and to sell the IP to others. No manufacturing or distribution was planned, so no sales or marketing functions exist. The Emilia deal is a perfect example of that- Emilia makes, markets and ships the product, OWC created the product and gets a license fee. Very clean and very profitable. OWC doesnt then need a big employee structure, just a few smart people working on patents and testing. Over the head of people like Maalox and Mario, who cant see the forest for the trees.
