I have a problem with this line of thinking...
I think the quarter that ends today is most likely going to be the revaling quarter and not next quarter. The reason is that this quarter one processor will have been working reasonably close to its capacity. If thst turns out to be the case there is not much reason to doubt that between two and three processors will be working in a similar way next quarter.
It should be possible to make a fairly good assessment of what the bottom line will be on the basis of the bottom line this quarter. Overhead will largely stay the same. Therefore there will probably not to be a need to wait for the numbers for next quarter to see where we are heading.
I do not think it is necessarily true that the operations this past quarter will be indicative of operations Q1 2013.
This is actually my optimistic side coming through.
I am expecting the 4th quarter to once again disappoint.
But I am also expecting the machines and business operations to come together in the first quarter. Not sure how far in, but at some point. And not full blown operations, but good enough to finally have three machines operating by the end of Q1 and a reasonable flow of plastic into the plant to supply those machines.
I would not take a lot away from a disappointing 4th quarter. It could, however, provide a really good buying opportunity for some.
I'm always willing for my pessimism to be proven wrong. Someday I'd like my optimism to be proven right.
