We're at a very low liquidity point, especially with the stop on Fidelity. So, what happens now? The longs are holding their shares, and the vast majority of stock is in the hands of longs. The market makers are going to have a tough time closing the spread. The day traders can't flip a profit because trading is extremely slow.
So in this situation, the extreme majority of shares are being held. When we get news, demand will drive the stock WAY higher than if we were trading with high volume. This should come as great news to all.
Since the start of 2017, I've purchased roughly half my shares on the Ask. It's just far less risky than waiting for a Bid that may never get filled. Granted, if you're buying $250K of shares at a time, I recommend the Bid.
