Democrat Russian connection making more sense. Considering Iran/Iraq/Syria natural gas pipe line.
It would seems to me whom ever controls northern Iraq and Syria and or a Styron warm water port... would stand to make a fortune ?? Russian might even be able to tap into the line and sell their natural gas without worry of sanctions ?
