NEW YORK, April 12, 2017 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- The Paley Center for Media in New York has selected An Evening with Power as part of its 2017 PaleyLive NY summer season. The evening marks the first time the cast and creative team of Power will appear at the Paley Center, and will take place on Wednesday, July 12, 2017, at 6:30 pm. All PaleyLive programs are chosen by the Paley Center to not only expand society's understanding of the cultural, creative, and social significance of television, but also for their ability to educate and entertain the public. "Power is one of the hottest shows currently on television, and we're thrilled to welcome the cast and creative team to the Paley Center for the very first time," said Maureen J. Reidy, the Paley Center's President & CEO. "An Evening with Power is one of the many reasons why PaleyLive leads the way in offering the most unique experiences for television fans looking to engage in intimate and lively conversations with the stars of their favorite television programs." Created by Courtney A. Kemp and executive produced by Curtis "50 Cent" Jackson, Power is a signature and record-setting series for Starz, forcefully examining the double life of James "Ghost" St. Patrick (Omari Hardwick), equally nightclub impresario and drug overlord. Shot on the streets of New Yok, Power authentically captures both the glamour and seediness of the city, bringing a rawness to "this saga of broken homes, strange bedfellows, broken promises, and healing wounds," according to Dominic Patten of Deadline. The Paley Center is pleased to screen an unaired episode from the fourth season of Power, followed by a conversation with the show's cast and creative team including: Curtis "50 Cent" Jackson (Executive Producer); Courtney Kemp Agboh (Creator); Omari Hardwick ("James 'Ghost' St. Patrick"); Joseph Sikora ("Tommy Egan"); Lela Loren ("Angela Valdes"); Naturi Naughton ("Tasha St. Patrick"); and Rotimi Akinosho ("Dre"). The panelists will discuss the evolution of Power's complex narrative as Ghost seeks some sort of redemption from his sordid past, followed by a Q & A with the audience. Tickets for An Evening with Power go on sale to Paley Center Supporting and Patron Members on Wednesday, April 12 at 12:00 p.m. ET. Tickets go on sale for Paley Center Individual Members on April 13, and to the general public on April 14. For more information on An Evening with Power, please visit paley.me/power.
