Nurses at a Danish hospital granted a dying man's final wish, allowing him to watch the sunset with a cigarette and a glass of wine.
The man, 75-year old Carsten Flemming Hansen, was admitted to Denmark's Aarhus University Hospital last week with internal bleeding after an aortic aneurysm, The Guardian reported.
Doctors determined Hansen was too ill for surgery, so the staff granted him a "dignified" death.
Hansen's bed was brought out to the balcony, where he watched the sunset alongside his family with a cigarette and a glass of white wine.
Smoking is banned on hospital grounds, but an exception was made. The hospital's Facebook post has since gone viral.
