Low VA Rates Tops the 2016 Scotsman Guide List

LINDON, Utah, April 11, 2017 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Low VA Rates has once again made an impressive mark in the Scotsman Guide's top VA loan originators with 14 ranking in the list of the top 75 VA loan originators in 2016. Each year, the Scotsman Guide magazine ranks the top-producing mortgage bankers, brokers, and originators in the country. Low VA Rates not only made its way onto the list, it is the first you see in the number one spot. Loan officer Ryan Sawyer topped the list as the highest producing VA loan officer in the nation, with 740 loans closed in 2016, amounting to a total volume amount of $165,766,463. "I am amazed at the team we have amassed here at Low VA Rates," said Eric Kandell, president of Low VA Rates. "Scotsman Guide is great at highlighting the work of loan officers, and to think we have 14 that made the list this year is amazing. However, behind each loan officer is a team of data entry specialists, processors, underwriters, closers, funders, and the list goes on and on. I am so grateful for the team here at Low VA Rates. We could not have done so much for the veteran home owners in this country were it not for the help of everyone here." Considering the Scotsman Guide's vast readership and reputation, it certainly is a noteworthy accomplishment to hit the top of the list for the volume of VA loans originated and have so many loan officers rank on that list. In fact, almost 10 percent of the loan officers at Low VA Rates scored a spot—an especially impressive statistic considering almost 3,000 entrants from 385 companies applied for a ranking in the magazine's 2016 issue. Low VA Rates doesn't simply originate an impressive number of loans, however; It matches the Scotsman Guide in professionalism and reliability by exceeding its borrowers' expectations at every step. Its employees even serve the veteran community in their free time.   In Aug. 2016, the company welcomed soldiers home from deployment with gifted American flags as a heartfelt gesture of thanks for protecting freedom. In Sept. 2016, employees gathered at the Utah Veterans Cemetery and Memorial Park to clean and beautify its grounds. And in Dec. 2016, the company donated 895lbs. of food to families in need. Outside of service projects, the company maintains a generous charity fund that employees donate to frequently because at Low VA Rates, veterans are more than customers—they are the heroes of the nation.   Going forward, the company will continue to work hard on every veteran's behalf to provide them with affordable home loans. "Doing over $2 billion in loan volume," Kandell said, "is just an example of how hard our employees work every day to improve the financial lives of our country's greatest home owners, the U.S. veterans." The company plans to work even harder in the following year and has already set its sights on dominating first place in the next issue of the Scotsman Guide.   About Low VA Rates: Low VA Rates is a VA mortgage loan company located in Lindon, Utah. Most of the company's organization has been around since 2006, but it became an independent company late in 2013. It has four additional branches across the U.S. and services most of the 50 states. It is one of the nation's leading lenders and deals solely in VA loans, offering both purchase and refinance loans.
