Management clearly has their eyes on the prize AND they've listened to shareholder concerns to halt dilution. This is significant in that they very well could have continued to dilute BUT, and it's a big ole baby got back BUTT, the mere FACT that Ivan is being remunerated in shares ONLY is tremendous and can not be overstated. His livelihood as it relates to the work he does as the CEO of NTEK is directly tied to the companies and NTEK (the stock) success! Anyone who agrees to a deal where 100% of his personal financial eggs are tied to work related performance of the company is ballsy and is motivated to get things done. I don't know Ivan personally but much respect to him.
Cannes may not seem like much and I doubt we'll really see any release of "A-list" HDR films but I wouldn't be surprised at all to see HDR front and center being showcased. I think the idea here is to attract the Indie crowd and to provide them with a readily available outlet to distribute their films. I'm thinking maybe like a Youtube type environment on UltraFlix.
So, if that's true then I can see where the HHSE talk is coming from. So while most of you know I'm not a fan of HHSE we also need to allow NTEK to peel back the layers of the onion to see exactly what they're thinking. I wouldn't be opposed to growing a category or a series of Indie channels similar to what we have now. If that's what they have in mind I suppose that's fine but I hope their main focus is still on A-list content whether it be movies, made for tv UF films, live sporting events, concerts etc. The beauty is there's room for everyone as long as it's done properly.
Think of UltraFlix as the worldwide 4K Youtube of feature length content. If that's where they're going this could develop into something beyond what almost all of us have been thinking.
I'm Mclovin' it!
