Starry Entertainment and Crimson forest have been mentioned in the blog as emerging principal venture partners. Starry is a new Chinese studio and Crimson is a Nevada company being funded out of china. Crimson is important because of its CEO Jonathan lim. And they said the merger partner was "arranging" for the 65mm financing. Here is more on Jonathan Lim:
Quote:
Jonathan Lim has more than 10 years of experience in the entertainment business in China where he produced and managed numerous film & television projects. Mr. Lim is a graduate of both New York and Beijing Film Academy and his first feature film "SLAM" was distributed by Sony Pictures Television International and CCTV. Other notable projects include Sony Pictures Television International China's remake of "Sofia's Diary," an interactive Web series that had over 100 million views, and the localized launch for China of the "Dr. Oz" show. Mr. Lim was also the creator/producer of "Made in NBA," a weekly television show for the NBA for over eight years that was broadcast over 40 channels in Mainland China.

Jonathan Lim Crimson CEO has extensive experience in china as you can see and I would be willing to bet some contacts to big money over there. So would it be reasonable to assume HHSE and Crimson merge with Mr.Lim being key here and with him having done extensive business in china and having contacts he is arranging for the financing of this newly merged company? And Starry tied into it somehow as well. Hard to say for sure until the news is released. Crimson Forest has a Shanghai office as well.
