I understand how the bashers get paid. My question was how are the people paying the bashers making money to be able to pay them. Logic dictates that I am not going to pay some one to do something unless the amount I am getting out of it is greater than what I am putting in...

So are they making their money from shorting or purchasing shares cheap? Just trying to see the underlying motive here.
