Then we're back to barrel bombs and other 'conventional' weaponry.
We can't resolve a civil war through air bombardment, or necessarily through ground troops either. Vietnam and Iraq are the lessons.
Destroying the ISIS caliphate is the mission. Our air and special ops, other countries troops/bodies.
'Enough is enough' is an emotional reaction and not a strategy.
It's neither feasible nor sustainable.
And it's circular reasoning to posit that doing anything in Syria, beyond applying the pressure to ISIS, will prevent rather than elicit a terrorist strike here.
Taking ISIS territory and continuing to decapitate leadership to pre-empt terrorist plots is the best we can hope for.
