Riga, Latvia, 2017-04-07 15:52 CEST (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- The Court continued to hear France Offshore case and the Court debates took place from 27th until 30th of March in Paris. 

In the process of the debates, the advocates of the Bank set forth the position of the defense in regard to the accusations that were put forward by the Prosecutor. 

Advocates of the Bank brought forward solid arguments, that demonstrate the absence of the breaches from the side of the Bank and lodged to the Court additional substantial evidence, among others, indicating that the actions of the Bank fully and completely comply with the requirements of the normative acts of the Republic of Latvia, that all the international requirements and recommendations have been observed and that there does not exist any evidence in the materials held by the prosecution to prove the personal involvement of the Chairman of the Executive Board of the Bank in the activities of France Offshore or its clients. 

Based on the presented arguments and the submitted evidence the defense requested the complete acquittal and the discharge of the accusations for the Bank and the Chairman of the Executive Board. 

The decision of the Court of the First Instance will be announced in 6THJuly.
