The goal was to take the pulse of his employees as the company works to transform the community management industry. His adventure will be featured on the hit series "Undercover Boss," Friday, May 5 (8:00-9:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network .
Carona's undercover identity was a far cry from the button down environment of the home office. Disguised as "Charlie Lucas", Carona traded his suit and tie for Hawaiian shirts, khakis and a radical change in hair style. But the opportunity to get an unbiased view from his employees was worth it.
"This was a once in a lifetime opportunity to see the company through the eyes of our employees," noted Carona, who worked undercover with maintenance technicians, as a concierge, and as a compliance inspector.
