ALMOST FREE EXPANSION - QIC Deal $GIGL was off
Post# of 3935
$GIGL was offered up to 700k in buildout costs and a ~75% discount on rent for their current locations. That changed with the LOI they received with QIC. QIC is giving GIGL 1.4 million to completely pay for the buildout of the next location plus 75% discount on rent.
Mr. Parsi stated:

We hope that the deal with QIC sets a precidence so that all the other major mall owners pay us to full cost of all new locations.
So $GIGL gets 1.4 Million to open their next location for free.... They are using that deal to get the same offer from other major mall owners. Assuming they can get the same offer from the other companies, it will be extremely cost effective for GIGL to expand.
Todd Star is working for GIGL. Who is Todd Star??
Quote:
Star's experience as a senior executive for Westfield USA, overseeing its west coast leasing operations for 14 years, is a strong asset to the Company as he leads its expansion negotiations with several of the largest mall owners in the U.S., including General Growth Properties, Simon Property Group, and Westfield Group, who collectively own more than 500 properties worldwide.

So a former Senior Executive for Westfield is now working for GIGL. Linked below is the deal GIGL has on the table from Westfield. Westfield wants GIGL in all of their locations, including several major airports... Assuming the Former Executive from Westfield can get his current company the same deal QIC just gave them... You will see a Giggles N Hugs in all of the airports listed below at ZERO cost to build out.
Connect the dots people.
