If the current administration is serious about supporting agriculture, increasing exports and creating American jobs, then hemp deregulation should be a no brainer. Producing another commodity at home rather than importing it is in line with everything that the President *says* he wants for the US. Saying and doing are two very different things.
I agree that it may cut into the pockets of some industry, but history has shown that most big business adapts well, and hemp is potential input for many of these industries and I would think they would move into the sector if the support is there. Lobbyists are another story. Kind of like lawyers- as long as they are our lobbyists, they are ok. All the rest are crooks!
