Lauritz.com A/S has on 31 March 2017 entered into a five year partnership agreement with a partner for the auction house in Søborg. This partner has over the last years been Lauritz.com's partner in Esbjerg. The partner has expressed ambitions to run a larger auction house within the group, preferably on Zealand. Therefore, Lauritz.com has decided to convert Lauritz.com in Søborg into a partner house. Lauritz.com still plans to establish a second auction house in Copenhagen, which is expected to serve both as a new flagship branch and HQ.
Furthermore, Lauritz.com has on 31 March 2017 entered into a five years partnership agreement with a partner for the auction house in Hørsholm. This partner has for many years been Lauritz.com's partner in Helsingør, situated close to Hørsholm. The partner has expressed ambitions to expand the activities in Helsingør to also include the auction house in Hørsholm, the neighboring region. Therefore, Lauritz.com has decided to enter into this new partnership agreement for Lauritz.com Hørsholm. In the above cases the partner takes over the operation and activity of Lauritz.com in Søborg and Hørsholm respectively. Employees affiliated to the auction houses in Søborg and Hørsholm will continue under the new partner.
Lauritz.com is pleased to expand the collaboration with these two strong partners who believe in the further potential of attracting more sellers and thereby sourcing more items the local auction houses to be sold online on Lauritz.com.
The new partnership agreements will have a positive effect on EBITDA in 2017 of approx. DKK 18m.
