First, he's in the business of selling a product, and the best way to advertise it is to tag the tickers that are hot right now. So he's always putting out videos on the stock that just made or is currently making a crazy run.
Those runs are usually a little unjustified, so there is always a selloff on the back side.
People who watched Clay's quick charts (especially his paid subscribers who are extremely rigid traders) remember the levels of support he described in his video and sell when the PPS drops below them. Causing the PPS to nosedive.
Bashers and iHub cronies use this as a good time to short. Causing the stock to drop even faster.
Everyone blames Clay.
It's also worth noting that it doesn't always happen this way. He was doing daily charts on OWCP and that thing just continued to go stratospheric for weeks.
