Citizens Bancshares Corporation is a bank holding company. The Company provides a range of commercial banking to individual and corporate customers through its subsidiary, Citizens Trust Bank (the Bank). The primary focus of the Bank is the small business and commercial/service firms in the area plus individuals and households who reside in or commute to the area. The Bank engages in a range of lending activities, including consumer/installment loans, mortgage loans, home equity lines of credit, and construction loans and commercial loans. The Bank invests primarily in obligations of the United States, obligations guaranteed as to principal and interest by the United States, Government-sponsored enterprises securities, general obligation municipals and other taxable securities. The Bank offers a range of commercial and consumer deposit accounts, including non-interest bearing checking accounts, individual retirement accounts, time certificates of deposit and regular savings accounts.
