First Lady Melania Trump and her son Barron Trump will be moving to the White House sooner than expected, TMZ reported.
Mrs. Trump and 10-year-old Barron are planning to move in with the president sometime in June.
When they leave their apartment in Manhattan's Trump Tower, they are expected to become full-time residents of Washington, D.C.
President Trump's youngest son was originally planning to stay in New York longer, Sandra Smith reported on "Fox & Friends."
TMZ also reported that Barron has found a new school in D.C. at which to continue his studies.
New York City Police Commissioner James O'Neill said providing adequate security for the family will end up costing between $127K and $146K per day, plus FDNY expenses.
In December, Mayor Bill de Blasio (D) asked Congress for $35 million to fund security for the Fifth Avenue skyscraper, and Rep. Carolyn Maloney (D-N.Y.) said it is unfair for city taxpayers to foot the bill themselves.
"Trump Tower itself now presents a target to those who wish to commit acts of terror against our country, further straining our limited counterterrorism resources," O'Neill said, according to Politico.
