I like that last line the most...
Obviously it will take time but I like that thinking.
Over the Past Few weeks I have reading "Tools of the Titan's" by Tim Ferris (4 hr work week dude) - great book with many excerpts from his podcasts with many successful and influential people and a couple of things caught my eye and reminded me of RMHB:
1-The Law of Category
"Find a new Category with an existing product that you can be first in"
Miller Lite was the first domestic light beer. It took an importer 5 years to say "maybe there is a market for an imported light beer? The result was Amstel Light which became the largest selling light beer.
"Dell computer got into a very crowded Computer space and became the first company to sell PC's by phone.
There are literally thousands of examples of these"sub category" major successes.
Red Bull and Monster(as well as Rockstar) were the first energy drinks. It will be hard to beat them. But how about the first successful Hemp energy drinks, Hemp water etc?
see where this is going- This is our shot. It is not impossible.
2-Contending with Online Trolls from Kevin Rose
Ask yourself questions:
"Do people you respect or care about leave hurtful comments on the Internet? (no)
"Do you really want to engage with People who have infinite time on their hands? (No)
After reading that I will not be even checking in to see what is happening on the other site anymore.
Let's keep the focus and the eye on the prize - and hopefully Management will too.
