For the sake of those who may not know, or any possible investors lurking about, FINRA, Financial Regulatory Agency, is a private corporation funded by and for the financial services industry (insurance companies). They regulate actions of financial professionals for the sake of the industry. They are not beholding to the Federal Govt only have power to sanction members belonging to FINRA. In other words, the fox is watching the hen house. Although many areas within their scope are monitored for irregularities by their members to protect innocent victims, think insurance, annuities, mutual funds, etc, the part that deals with illegal naked short selling practices that we have been encountering are, for the most part, IGNORED. Now, why would that be??? Are (large) insurance companies tied in any way to hedge funds? Possibly. Who would stand to benefit if they were? Can they be traced? Not hardly. Especially offshore hedgies. It's as if the powers that be have declared the OTC markets as the "Wild West". No lifeguard on duty. Swim at your own risk. The insurance lobby is the largest lobby in all of Washington. Period. Their money is intertwined in every aspect of our government and our lives. They are structured to win whichever way the wind blows.
I guess the lesson is: buy stock in large insurance companies, not small OTC stocks. UNLESS, you find one with 3 potential blockbuster drugs, currently in several late stage human clinical trials that have not had a failure to date, with the potential to return MANY MANY MANY times their current value, that also have interim results and possible partnerships at hand.
