O'Reilly: 'The American Media Has Now Become a Circus of Ideology & Cynicism'
The President Trump tax return reveal shows how the American media has become a "circus of ideology and cynicism," Bill O'Reilly said in his Talking Points Memo tonight.
He explained that far-left reporter David Cay Johnston claims someone left two pages of Trump's IRS return from 2005 in his mailbox.
Johnston then gave the document to MSNBC, where it was revealed on Rachel Maddow's show.
O'Reilly said that Maddow tried to spin the tax return as something sinister, when it really shows that Trump made $153 million in 2005 and paid $36.5 million in income taxes ($38 million in total taxes).
"Lost in the 'let's get Trump' marathon was the actual leak, which is a felony if it came from the government," O'Reilly pointed out.
He said that Maddow will undoubtedly derive ratings from all this "madness," but that's not the far left's real goal.
"Those folks want to destroy Donald Trump anyway they can. That's the mission," O'Reilly said. "And they are just getting started."
