A Miami-area McDonald's drive-thru worker went above and beyond yesterday when he saw a police officer having a health emergency.
Pedro Viloria told Local 10 News that the off-duty police officer was buying food with her two kids in the back seat when he noticed she was struggling to breathe.
"I see she's like inflating her neck, like trying to breathe, like 'ahh,' and basically I thought something was going wrong," he said.
He darted out the window as the woman began to lose consciousness and her car, still in drive, lurched forward.
The surveillance video from inside the Doral McDonald's shows Viloria as he sprang into action.
Luckily, a customer who was a paramedic was also outside to assist Viloria. The officer's car just missed another vehicle before hitting a curb.
Viloria said the paramedic and police performed CPR and used a defibrillator to revive the officer.
The officer survived, but her condition was not released.
