Informatica Expands Toronto Office

TORONTO, ONT., March 15, 2017 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Informatica ® , the No. 1 provider of  data management solutions , today announced it is expanding its operations in Toronto, Canada. In addition, the company has named industry veteran David Ridout country manager. These moves reinforce Informatica’s commitment to the Canadian marketplace. Informatica’s chief executive officer,  Anil Chakravarthy , and county manager David Ridout, celebrated the opening of the new office on March 9 th ,  at a ribbon cutting ceremony and luncheon.

Informatica established its new Toronto office after consolidating two smaller spaces. The new Toronto office, located in the heart of the business district, has been designed to maximize everyone’s productivity. For example, the R&D group does focused work and needs quiet, while the sales and global customer service departments do their share of talking and don’t want to worry about turning down the volume. To ensure the office is comfortable for all, the layout is oriented around the main entry and client-facing areas, isolating the R&D department on one side, and putting the noisier groups together on the other. This gives each department the amenities they need without being distracting to their colleagues across the space. Felt panels and carpeting help dampen sound, and there are private offices and phone rooms to help move some sound off the main floor. The break room is strategically placed with the best vista of downtown so the view can be shared by all, no matter their volume.

“Toronto has been a welcoming base for our operations in Canada. The talent, skills and experience of our current and potential future employees further strengthens our presence in the country,” said Anil Chakravarthy, chief executive officer for Informatica. “With this expansion, we are reaffirming our commitment to Canada and our Canadian customers, as well as continuing our focus on investing in our people and infrastructure.”

New Country Manager Appointed

To further support its growth, Informatica has named David Ridout country manager.  An industry veteran with over 20 years experience, Ridout is responsible for managing Informatica’s business throughout Canada. His executive management experience includes senior positions in worldwide sales and marketing and business development. Prior to joining Informatica, Ridout was vice president and country manager for Imperva. His experience ranges from large public companies including Canon, Novell and CA Technologies, to early stage companies such as Kana Communications, Watchguard and Primus.

“With his vast leadership experience in technology and effectively building and leading teams, David’s proven track record is an asset to Informatica,” said Chakravarthy. “As he takes the lead to build our presence throughout Canada, he will help our team strengthen and build relationships with our customers.”

“Informatica has an excellent opportunity to rapidly accelerate value for our customers in the Canadian marketplace,” said Ridout. “Digital transformation and data are driving customer strategies to grow their businesses. Informatica can provide them the competitive advantage the need what they need by having a single view of customers, securing the data, and making trusted and informed decisions. Our team in Canada is an indispensable solution provider to customers via the cloud, on-premise and hybrid, and I look forward to helping drive growth to further establish the company as the leader in all areas of data management.”
