the past few years , some attempts have been made to place video projectors into smartphones, but all of them have failed. Now, a new Silicon Valley company thinks it has found the right formula and hopes that customers will give a warm response to the phone, which will be available later this year.
The phone, called Akyumen Hawk, has a 5.5-inch Android device and a low-profile projector on the top.A 35-lumen projector can project an image of up to 1 meter in a normally illuminated room or up to 2.5 meters in a dimly lit room.
The manufacturer Akyumen says the secret of the phone is a projector that can stay cold for hours after use. At the MWC 2017 demonstration in Barcelona, the phone continued to work, with only a little warmth even after at least 20 minutes of use. Besides this cold projector, the battery life of the phone is also extended.
At first glance this feature looks quite remarkable, but the projectors add weight, size and expense to the phone. In the prototype of the Hawk smartphone, the area around the projector was protruding a few millimeters, and the weight of the phone could only approach the weight of a modern smartphone.
The battery in the phone offers a projection time of 2.5 hours and a power supply that can be added with the phone stand can extend this time by 5 hours.
