Israel is decades ahead of the US in terms of MMJ research because the ONLY legal source of MJ in the US is providing researchers with "ditch weed":

It will take a long time for the US MMJ research to get it's act together. Even if DEA reschedules cannabis, it will be years before researchers have access to the types, varieties, and potencies that OWCP has easy access to in Israel.
