Water article: As time goes on more and more medical research is there to inform us of the harmful side effects of many substances and materials that we never suspected. One of the biggest side effects of fluoride exposure is known as fluorosis, which leads to full teeth decay and malformation. Fluorosis typically develops in the first eight years of a child’s life and the symptoms include yellowing of the teeth, decay, cavities and distortion of the tooth’s development.
Taking this a step further, other symptoms such as cognitive and IQ issues can also be the result of exposure to fluoride. Brain disorders and body toxicity are also on the list of scary health side effects that may occur in children.
One study that was conducted in China involved testing children who were exposed to fluoride on a daily basis versus those who were not exposed as much. The end result was that the children who were heavily exposed had lower IQ results compared to the others.
Philippe Grandjean, who is a well-known author and researcher, made the following conclusion regarding the dangers of fluoride:
“Fluoride seems to fit in with lead, mercury, and other poisons that cause chemical brain drain. The effect of each toxicant may seem small, but the combined damage on a population scale can be serious, especially because the brain power of the next generation is crucial to all of us.”
