RPT: Sales of Ivanka's Fashion Line Surging After Being Dropped by Retailers
According to the new president of the brand, sales of Ivanka Trump's fashion line have been surging since she was dropped from several retailers.
"Since the beginning of February, they were some of the best performing weeks in the history of the brand," Abigail Klem told Refinery29. "For several different retailers Ivanka Trump was a top performer online, and in some of the categories it was the [brand's] best performance ever."
The company declined to share exact internal sales data.
A number of retailers, including Nordstrom, Neiman Marcus, Marshall's and T.J. Maxx, reportedly dropped Trump's line earlier this year.
Though these companies cited declining sales, the moves came at the same time as mounting liberal pressure to boycott any retailers that carried any products related to the Trump family.
As part of the #GrabYourWallet campaign, shoppers were asked to specifically boycott retailers with any Ivanka or Donald Trump-branded products.
