Stocks to watch Thursday: BCD, Marvell, Ford, Toyo

SAN FRANCISCO (MarketWatch) — Among the companies expected to see active trading in the U.S. stock market Thursday are BCD Semiconductor Manufacturing Ltd., Marvell Technology Group Inc. and Ford Motor Co.
Late Wednesday, Plano, Texas-based Diodes Inc. DIOD +0.65% said it would buy Shanghai-based BCD BCDS +2.58% for $8 a U.S. share , well above its closing price of $3.98.
Marvell Technology MRVL -10.30% shares continued to slide in after-hours action late Wednesday and could fall further Thursday. Marvell was hit by a jury verdict in a patent-infringement case awarding $1.17 billion to Carnegie Mellon University . Read more on Marvell’s patent-infringement verdict.
Toyota Motor Corp. TM -0.90% reportedly settled a class-action lawsuit for $1.1 billion concerning a malfunction that caused cars to accelerate unintentionally.
Ford F +3.15% shares continued to push toward their 52-week high of $13.05 after closing up more than 3% to $12.79. Shares were active after hours.
