Jeffrey Friedland to Chair the Panel “Public Company Investments in the Cannabis Industry” at the Institutional Capital & Cannabis Investment Conference ( IC³)

Jeffrey Friedland will chair the panel, “Public Company Investments in the Cannabis Industry.” On his panel will be Matt Shalhoub, Managing Director of Green Acre Capital; Brett Roper, Founder and Chief Operating Officer of Medicine Man Technologies; Alan Brochstein, Founding Partner of New Cannabis Ventures; and Aaron Salz, Chief Executive Officer of Stoic Advisory Inc.
Other speakers and panelists at the conference will include, Lindy Snider of Lindi Skin, Alan Bankier, an early-stage investor and serial entrepreneur, Kevin McGovern of McGovern Capital, Igor Gimelshtein of MedReleaf, Tripp Keber of Dixie Brands, Teddy Scott of PharmaCann, Jim Flanigan of Granite Hall, Jonathan Kaiser of Western Avenue Capital, George Stone of Kalyx Development, Rob Kampia of the Marijuana Policy Project, and Aaron Smith of the National Cannabis Industry Association.
In attendance at the event will be a “who’s who” of investment firms including MedMen, Privateer, and Casa Verde. Also in attendance will be owners and operators of state-licensed marijuana businesses including MedReleaf and Dixie Brands.
The executive directors of both the National Cannabis Industry Association and Marijuana Policy Project will also be participating in the conference, as will family office and institutional investors who have invested in the cannabis industry.
In commenting on this participation at IC³, Jeffrey Friedland stated, “As California, the world’s sixth largest economy, gears up for full marijuana legalization I am delighted to be participating in this important West Coast conference, focused on the legal cannabis business as an alternative asset class to achieve portfolio diversification.”
