"The use and abuse of plastics isn't going away...

Sure. Now, how does PTOI provide a solution to that problem?? Turning a solid burnable fuel into a liquid burnable fuel isn't of much use unless the liquid fuel is worth more. PTOI hasn't shown any evidence that the liquid is worth more than the feedstock.
Sure, plastic thrown into landfills is a problem...if you can find a way to sort plastic out of landfills and by type, recyclers are willing to pay up to $0.28/lb for that plastic. http://www.recycle.net/Plastic/hdpe/xv100200.html and that will be very environmentally friendly.
Alternatively, the diesel spot price is currently $1.64/gallon. http://www.eia.gov/dnav/pet/pet_pri_spt_s1_d.htm and a gallon of diesel weights 7 lbs. At a plastic-to-oil conversion of 90% efficiency otherwise perfect conversion, it would take 7.8 lbs of plastic...or $2.18 worth of plastic to make that $1.64 worth of diesel. If PTOI finds the holy grail of 'waste' plastic, they would make 33% more simply selling the plastic to recyclers even if they could perfectly convert it to pure salable diesel.
Maybe the government should subsidize plastic-to-oil because it's somehow more valuable than simply recycling plastic?? If there's any reason to believe so, PTOI hasn't shown that reason.
Long term if you understand that math, you'll save yourself your $0.043/share. Short term, you might get a pop if Mr. Heddle manages to pump up the shares.
The best bet would be simply to demand that Mr. Heddle be more transparent and explain the value proposition of the processor in clear, unambiguous terms. So far shareholders only offer the excuse that Mr. Heddle is bad at communicating.
