Turning plastic bags into fuel
Like many places around the world, millions of plastic bags are used every day in Kenya. So the potential for recycling is huge but so far little has been done. Now a firm is converting plastic waste into synthetic fuel oil. The company taking up the challenge is called Alternative Energy Systems, and they hope to make a big dent in Kenya's rubbish mountain. The firm's Chief Executive Officer is Rajesh Kent in Nairobi.
