That's strange. I have no option on the iOS app on the iPad. It defaults to "free rental". And the iOS Apple TV UF app offers no option. It appears to not recognize the promo specials credits. I wonder why? I thought it was the same app? Maybe I need to update the iOS version on my Apple TV.
