Hemp, Inc. executives announce to shareholders today that another state, Arizona, may soon join the ranks of states that have legalized hemp. According to the Arizona State Legislature, SB1337, proposed by Senator Sonny Borrelli, passed the Commerce and Public Safety Committee by a 6-1 vote and cleared the Appropriations Committee by a 10-0 vote, last week. As permitted by the state of Arizona, SB 1337 would legalize the production, processing, sale and distribution of industrial hemp for commercial purposes. Under the proposed bill, industrial hemp would be treated as an agricultural crop subject to regulation by the Arizona Department of Agriculture.
