$FNMA ruling only states the hedge funds can't sue for the illegality of the net worth sweep. Since the courts saw fit for the govt. to take all the profits to repay the loan. The govt. never figured it would happen this fast as the GSE's are profitable and can stand on their own...they just need to have the net worth sweep stopped to allow them to rebuild capital. Steve Mnuchin agrees these two GSEs need to be out of govt. control. The loans have been paid and then some. There's no reason why the govt. is still controlling these entities and will soon be out of govt. control.
