The judge allowed this part of the settlement. This was done at the request of JNJ, not DECN. JNJ was embarrassed. And rightly so.
DECN says the more important value of this agreement was in receiving "licenses to pursue JNJ test strip patents". I know this means we are now free to sell test strips, without JNJ interference. But I think it means more than that. Just not sure what.
