Actually Obama came out and told us, accurately, that we were in deep economic shit. He signed the Stimulus Bill and continued the bailout of the auto industry. Both of which saved millions of jobs.
The 'big banks' were required to take 'stress tests' and prove their capabilities to survive another downturn.
The stock market advances and job growth resumed and continued, unabated.
Obama was not elected to be 'president of the world'
Russia and N. Korea fucked around, just as they did under Bush.
That of course has stopped cold since Trump was sworn in.

And Iran shortened ii's nuke break out date, until they were required to fill one reactor with cement and subject all of their other facilities to tamper proof electronic monitoring.
That was the 'deal'. And now it will take Iran longer to make a nuke weapon, with far less ability to conceal the effort.
