Corporations can only pay dividends out of corporate profits. Preferred holders get priority, but all shareholders get paid. Do the math - just to get to $.01 per share, HJOE will have to have sales in access of $100 million to have profits of $10 million to maintain $.01 per share at 1 billion shares. There are a lot more than 1 billion shares outstanding.
