I missed it and glad it was reposted. This is not the same old BS. This was most exciting even though its been 43 years since taking Quantum Mechanics in grad school, it is exciting to see how this field is progressing.
Easily understood takeaways are that the effeciency of Quantum Dot Solar cells are expanding rapidly as they determine the right combination of materials to use. They talked of being able to produce a kilowatt of electricity at less tha 3 cents (if I understood correctly). They also have addressed stability issuses and that leads to longevity for a solar cell. Knowing they have a company making an e-reader that is powered by attached solar cells is amazing.
Knowing that I'm invested in a company that is at the forefront of a new generation of solar cells which can be used to produce energy needs which approaches the range of photosynthesis is so exciting. Not just monetarily, but for the future of our world.
