I've been told that often promos are paid for by third parties who often in fact are enemies of the company. These folks want to be able to claim the company is involved in a pump and dump with the intention of selling shares. Just another tool used sometimes by the criminal abusive shorts. Granted some of the OTC scams do in fact pay for promotions to sell shares but I think in NTEK's case those short knew a lot of buying interest would be created by exposing the company to as many as 20 million new customers and hiring a promoter to claim all the buying was the result of a promotion was just another red herring planted to try and slow momentum. Go NTEK!!!
