they (AF & other boards) like to quote statistics showing the improbability of any one drug at a specific time becoming approved, I guess that's fair, but the odds of NE coming back late in the 3rd Q were 0.3% or less, the odds don't tell the whole story. They tell the average story, they didn't account for Brady and they don't account for Mennon and Bertolino and Leo. They don't account for all the different shots on goal. They don't take into account the quality of the institutions and depth of research spanning 3 years on a phase one. They tell a story, but only a small part of the story.
