Why what? Why do the shorts need it down? The lower the price the lower the carrying costs to those who have shorted the stock. I am hopeful of a late day rally that will cause the price to rise into the close. The shorts like to have all shareholders losing money, part of their psychological warfare. They know that over time many will give up and move on. CTIX however is a different breed of cat with so many potential winners in its pipeline that investors are hanging in and not selling so the short continues to grow in size.
