FIMALAC : 2016 Revenue

In 2016, Fimalac generated consolidated revenue of €358.3 million , compared with €224.7 million in 2015. This 59.5% increase reflects robust growth, particularly in Digital, and the positive effects of the Group's development initiatives implemented across all of its businesses.

  (in € millions)   2015     2016

  Digital (Webedia) 134.6   214.4
  Entertainment 76.2   119.0
  Real Estate 13.9   24.9

  Consolidated revenue 224.7   358.3

Fimalac's Digital Division, represented by Webedia and its subsidiaries, contributed €214.4 million to consolidated revenue in 2016 compared with €134.6 million in 2015. This strong year-on-year increase reflects organic growth of around 10% and acquisitions carried out during the period. Revenue generated in France jumped 49.9% to €155.9 million in 2016 versus €104 million the previous year. International revenue surged 91.2% to €58.5 million from €30.6 million and accounted for 27.3% of the division's total for the year, reflecting the Group's well-established presence in countries such as Germany and Spain in Europe as well as Brazil and the United States.

Entertainment Division revenue amounted to €119 million in 2016, compared with €76.2 million in 2015. This increase was boosted by the impact of acquisitions and productions of several one-off shows toward the end of year, although this led to higher set-up and operating costs that will affect 2016 operating profit.

Revenue for the Real Estate Division climbed to €24.9 million from €13.9 million, primarily due to the purchase of a building in New York in June 2016.
